Wire Basket Strainers
(Series WB - RF/FF)

Wire Basket (WB) strainers, fabricated entirely of wire mesh, can offer significantly lower pressure drop losses than similar strainers of perforated plate. The specifier must, however, be very cautious in specifying wire mesh baskets due to their construction limitations. Inherent construction features severely limit the allowable differential pressure these strainers can withstand. These strainers are recommended only for light duty service.
Standard Material: 10 mesh
Denotes Required Specifying Information
Strainer Style (i.e. WBS, WBL, WB)

WBS = short pattern, 150% open area relative to flow area of same size std. wt. pipe (based on std. 10 mesh)
WBL = long pattern, 200% open area relative to flow area of same size std. wt. pipe (based on std. 10 mesh)

  Line size (e.g. 10")
Mating Flange class and type (e.g. 150# RF)

RF - For use with Raised Face OR Flat Face flanges. Strainer flange fits inside bolt holes
FF - For use with Flat Face flanges. Strainer flange has bolt holes / circle matching mating flanges.
RJ - For use with Ring Joint flanges

  Material of construction (e.g. 304 S.S.)
